My Favourite Instagrammed Photos Of London. See why it is not just Big Ben that has made London the most photogenic city in the world.
With over 120 million hashtags, London is the most Instagrammed city in the world. This is not news as I have written about that before. But it is not just Big Ben or Tower Bridge that makes you want to take out your phone and get that selfie. It is far more than that. Around every corner there is something spectacular to look at. So I thought I would show you some of my favourite Instagram hotspots that are not your typical hot tourist attractions but rather the reason why London is the most photogenic city in the world.
Restaurants and Cafes
There are so many incredible and quirky places for you to eat in London with way too many to list. But these are a few of my favourite places for a photo op.
ROYAL EXCHANGE GRAND CAFE
Royal Exchange Grand Cafe, London
FOUR SEASONS HOTEL
Four Season Hotel, London
CHURCHILL ARMS
The Churchill Arms changes the outside of their famous pub with the seasons. Between thousands of colourful flowers in the summer or its exterior walls lit with hundreds of small Christmas trees it makes this pub the most Instagrammed pub in all of London.
Churchill Arms, Kensington
SKETCH
I think just as many people come to Sketch for the food as they do for the decor. Actually I take that back, more come for the decor. This pretty in pink deco restaurant is consistently in the top ten of London restaurants in Instagram.
Sketch Restaurant, Mayfair
SAINT AYMES
Saint Aymes, Connaught Village
PEGGY PORSCHEN CAKES
Peggy Porschen has got the pretty pink cafe down to a fine art. You cannot walk by this cafe without people taking photos…and yes, mostly women.
Peggy Porschen Cakes, Pimlico
PRINCESS OF PRUSSIA PUB
Princess of Prussia, London
Shops and Markets
London shops and markets always keep things fresh and interesting. Even the tiniest of shops puts great effort into making their places photo worthy.
THE CREAKY SHED
The Creaky Shed, Greenwich
BISCUITEERS
Biscuiteers, Notting Hil
RAG & BONE
Rag & Bone, Sloane Square
ANNABEL’S
Annabel’s, a private club in the upscale neighbourhood of Mayfair has always something going on for every season. Here in the spring the entire facade of the building is covered in flowers. For their anniversary the front was decorated like a 3 story cake and at Christmas… well it is magical with nutcrackers and ornate decorations. The doormen are always in seasonal attire as well.
Private Club Annabel’s, Mayfair
ALICE’S
There are few places on Portobello Road that are more photographed then Alice’s. Established in 1887 this corner store of knickknacks is a Instagram darling.
Alice’s Notting Hill
Neighbourhoods
You can’t come to London and not explore its incredible neighbourhoods. From the pastel painted houses in Notting Hill to the gritty graffiti of Shoreditch the neighbourhoods are as diverse as the people who live there.

PARKS
One of the most incredible things about this urban city is within it there are incredible parks and wildlife. You can feed the wild parakeet's from your hand in Hyde Park or walk amongst the deer in Richmond Park, making it a must for anyone wanting a fabulous photo.

GREENWICH PARK

RICHMOND PARK

Again, there are just too many places to possibly mention but here are a few of my favourite in London. If you plan a trip in late September you can experience over 800 incredible buildings that are open to the public for the weekend during London’s Open House event.

PEOPLE OF LONDON

City Hall, London
Soho
I could go on and on and trust me I have about a zillion photos of London, its people, events, protests, tributes, celebrations and even one or two of a artistically poured latte. London has shown me that a bad day in London is better than a good day anywhere else.

Please share with me any of your favourite Instagram photos of London. Would love to see them.
